July 3rd Pops Concert

The San Angelo Symphony July 3rd Pops Concert - Presented by the Archer Foundation will take place Sunday, July 3rd at the Bill Aylor Sr. Memorial River Stage located on the banks of the Concho River at 16 E. Avenue A. The gates will open at 12:00 pm; the Community Band will begin at 7:00 pm, followed by the San Angelo Symphony at 8:30 pm.
The free event, held annually is entering its 29th year, and continues to unite our community in a patriotic celebration to honor our military, our leaders and our country. This concert, which draws more than 35,000 in attendance, is now the 4th largest in the state of Texas.
The July 3rd Pops Concert features military pageantry including the historic cannons of Fort Concho, the men and women of Goodfellow Air Force Base, symphonic songs of celebration performed by Maestro Hector Guzman and the San Angelo Symphony, and a Fireworks Extravaganza sponsored by Mayfield Paper Company.
For 67 years, the San Angelo Symphony has been an oasis of cultural activity in a thirteen-county region of West Texas known as the Concho Valley. In that same spirit, the July 3rd Pops Concert has served to enrich the lives of those living in our area and beyond. General admission is free, but reserved seating is available ($10 - $25) by coming by the San Angelo Symphony office located at 72 W. College Avenue (in the historic City Hall) on the west mezzanine level. Please note that City Hall is closed from 12pm – 1pm Monday - Friday. Reserved seating is available to the public for purchase on Monday, June 13th.
