Jarrod Robertson, a graduate of SMU in Dallas, serves as Principal Tuba of the Tulsa and Longview Symphony Orchestras, and is the tubist with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra brass quintet. He has performed with many professional orchestras, including the Dallas, Fort Worth, Charleston, Shreveport, Plano, Irving, Las Colinas, and Lawton Symphonies, as well as the Dallas Wind Symphony, and as a former member of the Lone Star Wind Orchestra. In the summer of 2013 Jarrod was Principal Tuba in the Artosphere Festival Orchestra in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Jarrod has also been a semi-finalist in national tuba auditions and the International Tuba/Euphonium Conference Orchestral Except competition.
In between cups of coffee and a busy performing schedule, Jarrod maintains a private studio of 40 low brass students, primarily in the Richardson ISD, a suburb of Dallas. Jarrod has been happily married to his real estate agent and bassoonist wife Stephanie since 2004, and they enjoy remodeling homes, shopping estate sales, and spending time with their two young children.
