Angel Padilla
 
Angel Padilla was born in Mexico City, where he studied with Marisa Robles and graduated as a harpist in 1990.

He earned a scholarship at the Royal College of Music in London, to continue his studies with Nicanor Zabaleta. In 1999 he obtained a Performer Diploma from Indiana University with Susann Mc Donald.

During his career as a soloist he has played recitals and concerts in the United States, Canada, the Unided Kingdom, Europe and Latin America.

Angel Padilla  has received several awards, such as the Malcolm Sargent, Jack Morrison, and Ian Fleming in England, the Andrés Segovia and José Miguel Ruiz Morales in Spain and the Barbera Foundation and Eleanor Fell awards in the United States.

In 1995, he recorded his first solo CD in New York, with pieces from the 16th Century up to Prokofiev and Halffter. His second CD, includes works of a vast variety of composers like Albéniz, Guridi, Grandjany, Godefroid, Scarlatti, among others.

In 2006 he was invited by the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow, to perform several recitals and a master classes at the Bolshoi Hall. He also made his debut as a soloist with the Kremlin Chamber Orchestra.
